This listing is for a beautiful and quality low profile slipper chair that the seller believes to be from the 1940s. The chair was reupholstered in the 1970s in a lovely neutral tan/peach or salmon heavy textured fabric, and is still in wonderful condition! The wood appears to be walnut and is ornately carved on the top. The chair has front claw style feet and straight feet on the back. We did not find any tears on the upholstery but on the two front corners it's hard to tell if the stitch design is just different or if it is beginning to slightly wear. We have taken a close-up photo to show what we are referring to.
The chair stands 33.5" tall and the seat is 12" from the floor. It is 21.5" w and is 27" deep. While taking photos it appears that there may be a few very faint marks on the seat of the chair near the right side. However, with the busy pattern and texture of the fabric it is really hard to see with the naked eye -- always worth mentioning anyway. This is from a smoke and pet free home and has no odors. We prefer this to be for pic- up only in our Comstock Park, MI store. We are located approximately 5 miles North of downtown Grand Rapids. Our phone number is 616-785-3229 and we are open M-F 9-6.
