Thanks to Paws and Whiskers Shelter out of Toledo, three wonderful special needs cats were saved from impending doom this spring! Mystique, Gigi and Garret all somehow ended up a their facility, and all sadly tested positive for either Feline Leukemia (Garret) or FIV (the two girls) BUT no one atthe place had the heart to euthanize such sweethearts! having an ongoing relationship with the group, we agreed to take them on, even though we are trying to keep to local rescues - we just couldn't bare the thought of anything happening to this terrific trio! Mystique is the outgoing damsel of daring I must say! She is always out and about, tail swishing high in the air, making her presence known! She is extremely affectionate and knows she is the belle of the ball! At about 2 years of age (May 2006) we are thinking she is only going to get more full of herself as she ages into a gorgeous gem of a cat:) Gigi on the other hand is a quiet beauty, a demure, dainty little gal (born in November of 2002) who prefers to sit back in the shadows and let the others take the spotlight! Though she is quite the attention-grabber when she is one-on-one with her favorite human companion! And then their is groovy, easy going Garret, who again is probably about two! He and Sonny became fast friends, and now he is not ever seen alone in the house! He is a true gentleman who is healthy and happy and so glad he has a new place to call home with his Ohio transplants! Thanks to Paws and Whiskers for your amazing efforts and your initial financial support of the gang! And thanks to volunteer Lori Hinueber, for taking a shine to this sweet gal! I am a special needs animal, as indicated by the symbol.
