On January 31st 2007, one of our volunteers was delivering pizza to a presumed crack house (although she didn't know it at the time). When she approached, not only was she approached by an adorable young kitty begging for attention, but she was in the middle of a robbery set up. Luckily, she and the cat got out of there quickly, and both were unharmed! Cristal is SO happy now to be indoors and cared for, instead of having been kicked out to fend for herself in the bitter cold! She was only about 7 months old when Thaisa Rantanen took her in (born in July of 2006)- well the cat actually jumped into her running car and that was that! Not that Thaisa would have left her there for her life! She is quite the little talker - not afraid to tell you what she wants and when she wants it! She is not used to other kitties yet, but is used to being spoiled and pampered ALREADY! She is a little princess for sure and we are glad we are able to give her the royal treatment she deserves! **Update September 2009** Whew this update is LONG overdue! Cristal is quite the independent little Miss. She has grown into a wonderfully outgoing gal who, in spite of herself, CAN get along with the other kitties when she has to. Ideally though she would like to be a single cat, and I think she would truly blossom as the Diva of the house! She is still petite, very affectionate, though I wouldn't call her a lap cat by any means, very smart and ultra-inquisitive! Thanks to Vicki Janes for your monthly support of this lovely gal!
