Back in February of 2007, in Southgate, Jennifer Meachum took in a pretty little stray girl about 10 months of age (born in April of 2005), in hopes of getting her healthy, spayed and finding her a home of her own. But, when she tested positive for FIV (feline AIDS), Jennifer had to seek out alternative placement for her precious girl. As heartbreaking as it was to say goodbye, when Jen drove her 2-1/2 hours to us on April 29th, she knew she had found the safe haven she was looking for! She is sweet but shy, and had to spend a few months solo in Jen's bedroom, so getting her acclimated to other cats will be our first goal. So far she seems to like sitting back and watching all of the others romp and play around! She is a darling little gal, and I am positive that in NO time, one of our big boys will take her under his wing and show her how much fun it is to be a SID's KID! thanks to Jen, Miranda has a second chance and finding her fur-ever home! And a big thank you to Kim Dixon who is sponsoring this great cat through the end of 2009, in memory of her beloved kitty, Lark. I am a special needs animal, as indicated by the symbol.
