There is a line that says you get what you pay for. I do agree with that line to some extent. I decided to price shop the copetition on craigslist and this is what I came up with. You the potential customer are being taken to the cleaners when you go to get your computer fixed. When you come to the DATA BROTHA your computer geek from anotha motha I will not take you to the cleaners when it comes to your computer being fixed. Most pc technicians charge by the hour. It takes an hour to two hours to install a windows operating system depending on the computer. Some charge between $60 and $90.00 an hour to get a computer up and running. Me I charge $30.00 dollars plus the cost of a windows disk. There are a select few on this forum who I will not name who I have corrected their mistakes. An example not attaching the heatsink correctly on an asus motherboard. For those who are not computer savy a heat sink is what keeps your processor from over cooking.

Anyways how I charge is by level of difficulty. Say removing computer viruses, sometimes its as simple as looking for them in the windows installation files sometimes its not. The technicians that charge you $60.00 to $90.00 an hour to sit there and look for computer viruses while windows is in dos command mode are just raking in your money. I have done this my self and it is very extensive and time consuming and they may not always be able to remove it. Your time is money and you want your computer fixed right? When you bring your computer to me I do free diagnostics and price it from there. I may not always be the cheapest but you will get a computer that runs like the first day you turned it on.
