This is an absolutely stunning and high quality large grandfather clock made in the USA by Howard Miller Co. This most majestic of all timepieces stands a stately 76 1/2 inches tall to the top of the finial, is 17 inches wide and 9 1/2" deep. This is truly a showpiece not only for the piece itself, but also for all your fine collectibles, as there are four adjustable glass shelves and a wooden base shelf within the cabinet. (Please note that there were originally three glass shelves with this clock, but the owner had one additional shelf custom made for extra display space -- the additional shelf is indistinguishable from the originals, and is sure to come in handy!) The front and sides are crystal clear glass, and the inner back is a mirror, so your pieces will truly sparkle and be illuminated by the 25 watt light within (electric with wall cord/plug). This clock is model # 610-614, and Serial # BB0002310079, has a Quartz movement and is powered by one AA battery. The face has a white silver dial with black Roman numerals, intricate black hands and is flanked by ornate raised relief brass vine patterns. Also above the dial is a silver globe which reads "Tempus Fugit" (Latin for "Time Flies"). The condition of this clock is pristine, the timepiece itself functions perfectly, and we have found no blemishes, scratches or scuffs anywhere on the beautiful cherry finished hardwood cabinet. The cabinet is secured with a brass lock and key. This particular style and model is currently offered by Howard Miller for a $1315.00 list price -- this is a great opportunity to get one at a fraction of that amount! These make beautiful gifts for special anniversaries and events, and can even have an engraved plate added for personalization (not included).
