The picture with 2 rattys in it are 'Mushroom' and 'Onion'- Charlie's fixed and female roomates- Female ratty's are prone to MAMMORY tumours and spaying them almost stops this from ever occuring. Charlie has ALOT of friends here in all colors, males and females that are adoptable-AND ALL AGES except for the seniors-who stay here in a SENIOR ratty sanctuary Safe AND HEALTHY-ALSO GIVEN MAINTENANCE ANTIBIOTICS as needed FOR the rest of their lives TO CONTROL mycoplasma WHICH IS IN every rat out there now (UNLESS YOU BUY A LAB RAT SPECIALLY ORDERED AND THE BABIES WERE BORN IN A STERILE FLUID -THE MOTHER'S LIFE TAKEN TO INSURE THIS AIRBORN VIRUS is not passed on further) The rattys here are all well socialized and LOVING pets-They require LOTS of attention, wheels, toys and treats! They COME when you call them and they love to run around so long as they are supervised and enjoy jumping and running and freedom. They like baths and big bones to chew on as their unrooted teeth are constantly growing and need to be worn down by much chewing. 'Bruxing' also helps, which is what a ratty does when he is happily enjoying you petting him, kind of like cat's when they purrr. Rats are wonderful pets that dont bark, love treats and attention and can learn as many things as ANY dog OR MORE! God bless our pets!
